Sri Lankan star spinner and probably the best test and one day bowler in the world Muttiah Muralitharan was in grasping distance of the once elusive 800 test wickets when he dismissed Harbhajan Singh a short while ago on the final day of the first test against India in Galle.

Murali who is playing his last test has 799 wickets under his belt.
